Off She Goes..

Last night Ana officially began walking on her own! Dec 8th! Almost 13 months old. She was starting to stand up and hold onto things around 9-10 months and Kaylee was exactly 11 months when she took her first steps. We've been anxiously waiting until she felt confident to it and she did! And she grins sooo big and Kay claps for her. Hope to video it soon!

My Toddler Kaylee

I've always figured that after the whole "terrible two's" those meltdowns and strong personalities didn't just fade away when they turned 3. But I doubt anything could've fully prepared me for what "Kay the 3 yr old" would be like. In alot of ways she is always amazing us with these new things she learns on her own or from just paying attention. Her vocabulary has always amazed me and when we put our Christmas Tree in yesterday she said "Oh mommy, is so bootiful"! While holding her hands behind her back. And all day she has been bringing her "babies" over to the tree to "See Christmas". She is just starting to understand that Santa Claus is someone who will visit us and leave presents. I thought we'd draw him a picture instead of the cookies though. It has been tough though convincing her that the Santa's she's been seeing are not papa. haha

Gobble Gobble Day 2010

We had an amazing Thanksgiving like we always end up having! Our original plan was to keep it low key which it really always is. My mom, fortunately, was feeling a little better and was able to be out of bed and be out with the me and the girl's. The food as always was soo good! I should've gotten more of Ana eating! Man I think this may be her favorite holiday already!

Halloween With the Funk's & Perez's

It's become our little tradition to go trick or treating on Halloween at the Wharf. It's perfect for younger kids since it's not super long, still daytime, and much fun. We went with our good friend's The Perez Family. If you haven't noticed they are much more like family now! Brody was the cutest Firefighter and not only did we think his costume was the best but so did most others that walked by. Kaylee was a Harley Mechanic and Ana was a chubby fairy princess. This was the first year that Brody understood what she was supposed to do however still shy to actually say "trick or treat" so she blew kisses as "thank you".

November 13th 2010 Ana Turns 1

We were surprised when our best friends The Perez Family showed up like mid-morning of Ana's 1rst bday. Her original big 1rst bday bash was called off because gramma deb was very sick again. But we weren't about to not celebrate this little girl's big day. Katie made our new favorite-Red Velvet Cake and hopefully I can upload the video of us singing and of her tearing up her very 1rst big piece of cake. Her outfit shown on these pics were also from them. I was really touched by it all.

General Update

Obviously it's been sometime since I've updated this and now I'm pretty overwhelmed on where to even start..So bare with me while I try to address all the newest things with the family.

Kaylee Turns 3!

I was thinking of having a bday party for Kaylee on the 17th of October. That way people out of town could hopefully come but the day before her bday my parent's called and told me they had planned a BBQ for the 12th. It was very fun and my mom had called our good friend's Katie, Jose, & Brody to come and celebrate with us!

Late Night Play

I took this video one night because it was way past both of their bedtimes but also the first time they really were playing with eachother. Since this night the girls are bestfriend's, always playing together or getting into something together. The most common thing that happens is that poor Ana gets a big glob of shampoo on her head and ofcourse with no water. So I end up with Ana in the bath.

New Teeth For Ana

We were noticing that Ana wasn't sleeping well, running a low grade fever, and more fussy then usual. Ana is truly that happiest little girl so it doesn't take long to notice when she isn't feeling like herself. I thought maybe she'd gotten a cold since the previous day we'd gone to the Wharf which was much cooler and windier then outside our apartment. But while I was changing her diaper I was making her laugh and I saw 4 new top teeth about to break through! And just huge ones! Brian said she is so advanced for her age she's getting her adult teeth in already!haha. It took about 3 days of warm cloths, teething ointment,etc. And all four ended up coming through (the same time) the night before the zoo. Needless to say she is back to her funny self!

San Francisco Zoo Sept. 2010

Last sunday we got treated to a day at the San Francisco Zoo. Our good friend's Katie & Jose picked us all up at around 8am and even had breakfast with them! We arrived at the zoo right before it opened so we got to park right in front and had no lines to wait in. I was very excited for Kaylee & Brody to see all the animals but it didn't take long for me to be just as excited. Which is why I took 159 photo's that day! haha!

A Post For Kaylee

Kaylee will be turning 3 in October and everyday she says or does something that either cracks me up or makes me realize how fast she growing up. Her newest thing is whenever I'm talking to Brian or someone is talking and their voice gets louder, Kaylee puts up her hands and says "Mellow.mellow. Its okay, no skeeming(screaming)." And if she says it to me it's "mommy,mommy, its okay, mellow. No yelling at my daddy". I always smile when she says this and I try and tell her it's okay, I'm not yelling at daddy, everything is fine. She is just the sweetest person to everyone! Papa john took her to the park to "skeem"(swing) and she ran upto a small group of girls and says "Hi! You soo cute! Hug"? The kids are always a bit freaked out by this ofcourse. haha.

Her favorite things now are singing, playdoh, swimming, and anything princess. Oh and firetrucks! We live right up the hill from the boardwalk so there is a firetruck that goes by us daily. Kaylee gets sooo excited and they wave at her. She always yells "Bye guys! Be careful"!

A Day With Friends

Last week we decided to have a small get together at gramma & papa's hse. We invited our good friends Katie & Jose & their son Brody. Turned out to be perfect weather for the kids to play in the pool while I made my chicken enchilada's. The main reason I decided to do all of this is because both my parent's and Katie & Jose have really helped us with bringing dinner over to us and watching the girl's, etc. So I wanted to treat them for a change. The kids played in the pool for awhile and then papa john took them all in the wagon around the property. It was a great day and the girl's slept great that night!

Kaylee and Momma

Every night Kaylee & I have a routine before going to sleep. We process our day together & this has become my favorite time of the day. I always ask if she had a good day? And she always has the same response, "Ummm yeah". And then depending on what we did I'll ask questions on certain details, like the other evening Brian took the girl's to a friend of ours house for a b-day party. I first asked if she had fun, which ofcourse she said "yes" and asked if she got to eat b-day cake and she told me "ummm..no. I ate food". And then she'll begin to tell me things that happened. Which this night she said "Brody hug me", "Kaylee lubs Brody". I asked her if it was official that they were going to steady? "Ummm..yes." And then she goes through all the people that she loves, asks me if daddy is sleeping, is naners sleeping, finally I convince her that yes, it's bedtime and everyone is asleep. So she says "okay mommy, lub you, nigh-night". But after a few minutes I hear "winkle-winkle lil sta"...

Ana Almost 9 Months Old

Miss Ana has been hitting some major mildstones in the last month! She got her 2 bottom teeth at the very same time and now working a top one coming through. She had just gotten sitting up on her own and within a few days I looked and she was up crawling. Now she's so fast at crawling & also lifts herself up to a stand while holding onto anything possible. She is also the happiest baby! Always smiling & laughing, from the moment she gets up in the morning! She also loves to be home. We will be out doing something and the moment she gets through the front door she starts smiling and squealing! Kicking her legs in excitment! She is also quite the chunkster as everyone knows! Her & Kay are wearing the same size everything! Diapers, clothes,etc. And most important she is daddie's girl! As soon as he is home from work she dives for him! And everyday he'll sit on the couch with her sitting next to him. She gets right by him and snuggles into his side with her blankey and falls asleep.

Kaylee's First Crush

Brian and I have recently started spending time with another couple, Jose & Katie, they've got a son Brody whose just a little younger then Kaylee. Over time Kaylee & Brody have gotten to become very good friends. We couldn't be happier having them spend time together, we enjoy visiting with Jose & Katie, plus Brody is honestly just the sweetest little boy with a laugh I just love!He is so sweet & loves having Kaylee & Ana over never getting upset by Kaylee playing with his toys. I just found that remarkable! A toddler who loves to share. haha..At night Kaylee always go through the day and talk about whatever we did that day. And then she goes through a list of "I love you's"-"I lub mommy, I lub sister, I lub daddy, I lub papa & gramma" and now at the beginning of it she says "I lub Brody"...

Reason I Started This

I had a blog for Kaylee & once Ana was born I'd created one for her as well. When my computer crashed I went months without being able to update both I thought I'd create one blog that had both my girls and what they were upto so that family & friends that aren't close enough to visit would be able to keep up with these little ladies that seem to change more and more everday!
